Foodie Adventures: $2K (I know this looks excessive to some, but Bali food culture in Ubud is on point and totally worth it)
Wedding Spend Grand Total: $16.5 + $13.78 ~ $30K
To be honest, this could have been a lot cheaper, but I really wanted all my friends that flew from Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Canada, U.S., and Singapore to have the most awesome time. In fact, the reason why we did a destination wedding was because we learned that many couples have had these amazing weddings for $10K to $15K, so we basically doubled that budget to make it extra lux.
Just by comparison, since I live in the Bay Area in California, an average venue will cost you $20K+ and that does not include any of the decor, food, entertainment, and etc.
I know it can be a bit scary to plan something halfway across the globe. Thoughts like, how would I know if I am being scammed had definitely crossed my mind. However, Indonesia is one of the safest places in the world mainly due to the country's religious beliefs. Check it out. I used the Se7en Agency but had definitely checked out other wedding planners as well.
